Finding health doesn’t need to be complicated. My goal is always to simplify. If we give the body what it needs and take away what’s slowing it down, its amazing what can happen!

I didn’t EVER dream that I would become a holistic nutritionist. I didn’t even know what one was for most of my life…
I mean I’m a pharmacist, wouldn’t that be a contradiction?
As the daughter of avid vegetable gardeners, I thought that I was a pretty healthy person, but in 2014 my health tanked. I had an autoimmune disease of the thyroid, and no energy whatsoever.
I had two young kids, a career, a busy life, a ‘to do’ list a mile long and felt like my body was holding me back from all of the things that I wanted to be doing. I felt like I had a bowling ball attached to each appendage.
The fatigue was relentless.
In my desperation I ended up consulting an online holistic nutritionist, who taught me specific diet and lifestyle practices that helped me bring my body back to life. I realized that although I was eating fairly healthy foods, the choices that I was making weren't necessarily supporting my unique body. I also learned that I was living on stress hormones like 80 percent of us do, which wasn’t helping my situation.
Learning from a holistic nutritionist helped me to rediscover my energy, and gave me clarity and hope.
I dove deep into the nitty-gritty details and discovered some of the pieces of the puzzle that I was missing. From that point on, my interest in nutrition and lifestyle awareness grew into a surprising passion and I studied to obtain a Registered Holistic Nutrition diploma from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2017.
This new (additional) career has chosen me.
